Our Services
In addition to our comprehensive outpatient treatment programming, each of our programs also includes the following services.
Co-Occurring Disorders
Treatment and counseling for co-occurring disorders assists clients in addressing issues relating to substance abuse or dependency and mental health issues. All programs at Common Ground address these co-occurring concerns. If you are currently seeing another mental health professional such as a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist you will be asked to sign a release of information so that your treatment will be coordinated with your mental health professional and Common Ground Staff.
Peer Recovery Support Specialists
Common Ground has certified peer recovery specialists on staff to help bridge the gap of services provided in the community. CPRS are people who have lived experience with recovery and provide non-clinical recovery support to their peers to include:
• remove barriers to recovery
• connect peers to recovery resources that target their strengths and interests
• provide emotional support
Care Coordination
• assistance in coordination with and follow up for medical services
• facilitation of referrals to substance use disorder services
• facilitation of referrals to mental health services
• assistance with referrals to economic assistance, social services, housing resources, and prenatal care
• life skills advocacy and support accessing treatment follow-up, disease management, and education services, including referral and linkages to long-term services and supports as needed
Individual Counseling
Throughout the recovery process, it’s important to establish a valuable connection with a treatment provider, counselor or mental health therapist. Throughout each of our programs, we offer referrals to therapists and mental health practitioners, as well as offering regular individual counseling sessions with a client’s primary counselor.
Family Programming
The family is an important part of a person’s recovery journey. In active addiction, a person’s relationship with friends and family is often compromised. At Common Ground, we embed family programming into all of our treatment programs. We create the ability for family members to be a part of their loved one’s journey, while helping the family or support person cope with the impact of addiction and find recovery of their own.
